Developed from an initial collaboration initiated in 2007 and formally launched in 2015, Truth Is Found in the Archives is a long-term project dedicated to digitising and making accessible the personal research archive of art historian Cezara Mucenic, documenting Bucharest’s architectural heritage between 1830 and 1960. The archive contains photographs and notes based on previously inaccessible municipal and national archival documents, alongside more than 150 historical studies of Bucharest buildings.

Rhabillage led the digitisation process, developing a dedicated online database, coordinating a team that grew to 12 contributors, and establishing a structured system for processing, cataloguing and searching the material. By 2016, around 1,000 documents had been made available online.

The project subsequently expanded into public education and knowledge dissemination, including an architecture workshop for primary-school students, a bilingual publication, and the 47 min. documentary film ‘Truth Is Found in the Archives’. Its 2017 launch brought together audiences in Bucharest and Paris, followed by a discussion on the public value of digitising architectural archives and the role of international exchange in developing such practices.
